Lucille flew in formation at a shocking speed with the Graceful Sword and Fan and other Silver seal sects.
This super cultivator Arielle and the Gold seal sects were beyond. Anna and the regular and bronze sects were behind.
They must be flying hundreds of miles in just a few hours as the clouds streamed by above them, forest and the vast stretch of sea became desert and at last mountain. They landed in the foothills, with the mountains looming.
5 minutes separated each wave of sects, and Anna arrived with the Bronze and regular sects.
“We go in from the East, sects and imperial forces of the other 3 empires will be joining us from North south and west. Battle lines, Shimmering, follow closely by Manifestation cultivators, Opening cultivators on ground reserve. Divine cultivators in the skies ready to contest their Divines. Center shall be our Bronze and regular sects, Left wing will be Silver sects, right Gold sects. And the army will provide depth behind central. We have a narrow front, so keep your army in waves of three lines or more.”
Anna, Steven, Arielle and the sect divine cultivators rose into the air.
Tim ordered the GSF sect members and coordinated with Silver sects to find their place in the left flank.
It only took 25 minutes to get in formation, and on the General’s order they began to March on the tough ascending climb up to the mountain pass.
The enemy sect was huge. Towers and residences were found even outside the main gates. Gold seal sects diverted to remove any threats inside.
The army held the slowly increasing group of prisoners and quieting enchantments kept the prisoners from alerting anyone.
A devastating surge of lighting seemed to engulf the Eastern gate, and suddenly the gate fell, Lucille prepared her fan, speaking to the juniors in the next line and the charged in.
All they caught in the first charge was juniors doing calisthenics. The first line subdued them. The rangers took out their master.
The overrun continued, slowing in the face of increasing enemy response. The first line retreated as the second line of shimmering cultivators took charge.
Sword and rapier and ranges Fire filled all.
The shimmerings fell back, and the Manifestation cultivators took the stage in one line. The effort surged them forward, Her new Fan echo slay an enemy as they targeted a junior.
She was soon forced into the front line as the enemy responded.
Titanic clashes marked the divine combat overhead. Anna was covering a huge area with only the three Bronze seal divine cultivators and two regular sect divines.
The left flank was barely holding, the center being weakest. The center entirely fell; and then the gold sects furiously cut down enemies in the way to rejoining Lucille and the Left flank . They formed a strong core. And Anna descending to add strength on the ground. Finding Tim, they fought with incredible coordination.
“Like old times,” Tim said.
“Watch out!” Anna activated their rarely used sister swap power and Lucille appeared next to Tim who didn’t see where the enemy was.
Anna was zoning out, five swords and three spirits defending their position from overwhelming fire and attack.
Water engulfed them, it felt comfortable though it flowed with a gold sheen.
It was a shield of water. Sounds waves feelings and emotions washed over her.
She recognized the emotional attack, and relying on her strengths, wore calmness as she projected peace.
In a sudden clearing of the waters, they saw a devastated area, lightning and fire formed in swords and staves, and two other armies at Nortb and west hemming the enemy in.
Anna engulfed them in thicker water than ever, and forced the group to withdraw as powers beyond her fought in an assault on all senses. She protected the group.
After what seemed only a moment the war of Higher divine cultivators passed.
Arielle and another late Divine stage cultivator stood in the middle of the ruined compound. The four imperialist army’s pressed inward.
“That was some very good shielding under pressure. Water has an affinity for that.” Said Steven.
“Thank you, the fight grew beyond them in a hurry.”
**
The army worked tirelessly into the night, while sects rotated on and off of watch duty.
Anna spent hours in the sky, with Steven and with David. Lucille chatted with her sect members and other sect Senior executives.
Anna came back with a new sword on the third night.
She was ushered into a strategy meeting while Lucille and the other members of her sect were waiting at camp.
“They’re threatening to cut us up and leave us surrounded. We’re going to strike at several sects preemptively tonight before they can gather.”
“I thought it was just one sect we were fighting.”
“Local sects are mad that our empires banded together to destroy one evil sect. Now they think we will go after anyone else that offends us. But the Divine dragon sect was very much a problem to our sworn Allies. We are facing an all sect alliance in this region.”
“So what are we going to do?”
“I’m leading three sects, including Graceful Sword and Fan on a nighttime attack of a smaller sect. Many of the Divine cultivators here will be leading a team. Get a few hours of sleep and then join Soaring Arrow sect and Vigilant Saber Sect outside my tent.”
*
While she had commanded the sects during the initial assault the general was really in charge. Old sect operations had only been small group affairs. Now she would lead a sizable force on a daring assault, without any other backup.
She only had a few hours to sleep but actually fell asleep a half hour before wake time. She didn’t need sleep much anymore but after the long nights of scouting she wanted to.
Aida woke her up, and she gathered her three swords, stowing them, in sub space.
The sects were gathered. Soaring arrow and Vigilant saber were regular sects. Graceful Sword and Fan Was Silver seal of course .”
“Prepare for the flight formation.” She said.
She gathered Tim, and his second Ryan as well as her sister, she also gathered the top cultivators from the Arrow sect and Saber sect. Vigilant arrow would hold position with the bulk of the three sect forces, providing support Fire while that team of leaders dealt with the highest levels of Sect cultivators in one big burst.
“I will try 6 sword kata, now with my new sword, but I’ve not practiced it. Among our top group, fall back and provide primary support if I’m facing an enemy Divine cultivator. Command believed we could take this sect without over stressing me.
If Our top enemy is high Opening tier, we can make a combined attack against their entire leadership and give the rest of the sects room to finish the job.”
“Senior, what kind of sect are we facing? Geographically,” the head archer asked.
“Down in a near flatland valley. We should have good fire positions, but not much stealth. Water shield on approach to defend against long range Fire.”
The enemy sect kept guard positions, and Anna suspected the leaders were burning the night oil in their tents. She didn’t shield, after dropping most of the three sects in the support position. Instead the 10 of them landed. Tim and Ryan killed the watch men.
Anna knew the enemy sect master detected her presence. Simultaneously three spirits and six swords appeared to match the two staves of the enemy. He was barely into the Divine stage, but she took him seriously .
“Hold.”
The archer shot a fierce arrow at the man and he was upon her.
“Why are you doing this,” the man asked, as Anna fought like she did against her seniors, with maximum exertion and focus.
The two staves became one.
“You were going to join other sects and surround us, when we only dealt with the supremely evil divine dragon sect.”
“We prepare our defense, against four emperors. Will you follow the Emperor against your own sect, in time.”
“My emperor, I am his consort, sworn to him from 15 years old. My home sect, if they turned so monstrous to need removal, I would plead with him to be allowed to end things.”
“Imperial fool.”
The divine spell was something new, I let Waters assault him and shield us. And the cursed fire was snuffed out as Aida swung the final blow.
“Now, find their next leadership. We can split up, I will provide overwatch.”
The main force began to advance after I signaled them, and groups of this top 9 battles their senior, the rest of the sect joining battle as the enemy sect responded in full.
Protecting with waters and cutting down those that resist, we left only those who surrendered with many dead to deal with.
*
The sign of battle as they landed back at camp, was unmistakeable. It was unclear who and where the defenders were. Tents were overturned, wreckage everywhere.
At last it was Arielle.
“They turned some of our own people against us. I stayed. Many of the missions returned quickly. Many regular sects were convinced that the Emperor was declaring war on all sects. I took the Silver and Gold sects that had returned. In the fury of battle many sects just left. While others fought us. Steven’s missing.”
“More battle is coming?” Anna asked.
“We need to gather the rest of those loyal, and mark down the list of sects staying with us. We will stay for a few hours more and then retreat. I have sects with us from all four empires, but many sects deserted.
We can’t return the sects to their own homes, but the Emperor must let his allied Emperors know who is faithful.”
*
Lucille found herself flying amongst many other sects of the loyalists. What had the enemy sects said to sway so many. It was obvious that their emperor depended on sects and could not destroy them, would not.
Their second senior Steven was dead or abandoned. Another was confirmed dead by the survivors, another had turned. Their group of 12 was now 9, but Arielle lead them.
The Imperial armies stayed, despite the risks. They were going to move carefully and identify any turned sects still operating there.
Most of the loyal sects returned to the capital city to be confirmed as loyal and then left for their home.
Anna’s three sect team offered to stay while the situation remained uncertain. Arielle and the sects from other empires also stayed until they could be lifted back home.
In all, 270 sects of their empire deserted. It was unclear but a few dozens joined the enemy. Most of the bronze seal left, while 1 silver seal sect and no gold seal sects left.
Their sects were better off than the other emperors. Even some of the top sects had fallen or fled, and fewer of the other empire sects rallied to Arielle’s banner.
Rather then meeting where Anna said the island of four emperors was, The Emperor invited his fellows to come there.
As a first order of business, the gathered emperors lauded Arielle, Champion of the Highest Heavens.
Word of 4 emperors in one city drew the enemies to them. The capital city was under attack, with the Imperial army still abroad.
The sects still gathered prepared to fight.
Lucille accompanied Anna, gaining an audience for the second time.
The Emperor was still a boy at 18, she thought.
“Lovely, Cultivator Ohnani, please distribute these Royal weapons to your sect. They will enable your members to fight beyond their normal ability. Paramour, the Divine power of the Throne is awakening. You and Arielle will be my vessels, power and trust and the lives of many depend on you.”
*
The loyalist sects local to the empire fought fiercely with the weapons of Imperial writ.
Arielle was the great storm that struck at the enemy army, bullying their own divine cultivators.
Anna was for once, furious. Her eyes were golden, the treasure swords of Emperor became fiftysome, and enhanced by the Divine rage, her waters became unending rain as she became an able second to Arielle.
The supplemental Divine cultivators helped to.
All the sects covered angles and approaches to the city, and Anna let her patron’s golden waves refresh the city and defenders.
Wave by wave the enemy came. Allies joined, Emperors blessed their best.
For a time, Anna followed Arielle, lost in the Sublime purpose for which she existed, she was burning beautifully for her Emperor.
Finally, she could go, no more. What time was it, what day? The elevated combat and much greater infusion of Divine energy had exhausted her to the last.
“You must rest, Anna. I will go on.”
Returning the extra swords to the treasury, polishing them with care, she took to the Emperor’s side. She was surprised to see Lucille there, engaged in vibrant conversations with all four emperors.
“Ah my love, come, we wait for the arrival of relief forces, the city is fallen, but we are strong.”
“Your sister’s way has sprung forward, said the only Divine cultivator of the emperors. She fought with a strength matching a new Divine cultivator, with the Grace you had. The over abundance of your soul. Ringing in pure waters, untouched by any desire but for your Emperor to live still and lead his people. The boon of power, which eventually wore you out lead to much more divine power leaking into her frame. Her uniquely social cultivation was kicked into high gear when she began speaking to us.
Few are prepared for the might of a Social divine. It is your purpose to explain and persuade, removing the bleeding wound infecting our sects.”
The next emperors spoke, “call to those who still remain uninvolved. Call to those proud to being Imperial. Call out the true Story of the Emperor’s consort. of one who wears their heart on the outside.”
Anna knew, the moment when Lucille broke through. Power flooded into her, and the connection between sisters thrummed with Divine energies.
<Final Sister Power: Realm Law: Twin Lives. All wounds up to and including death, heal in the presence of the other living sister.>
*
Arielle protected her as she felt her sister’s pure heart confession for the Emperor and Empire below.
.”to all who feel like the Emperor deserves this, hear the heart of my sister. She never married, traveling from town to town. She befriended a woman whose son was a cultivator but she was not. But otherwise she preferred to be called up to work on behalf of the emperors against the latest troubles.
When she became consort, she found her heart truly. Protecting the empire is good. Protecting the Emperor is her deepest faith.
The foundation of our life exists in the man who becomes emperor, the boy who becomes. Calling on our sect’s for aid only when required. He has no intention of destroying the sect system. He loves the sects.
Wherever you are out there. Please for your Emperor’s sake come forth. For the pure daughter of faith who fought with fifty swords in her liege-love’s defense, come forth.
Mighty roaring winds carried the words away.
*
Some sects came to their side that day, and hidden masters coming out from their hiding.
The war continued, and Anna still rested and spent days with the Emperors, Lucille tried to as well.
“Return to your sect,” the emperor said. Go, defend your homeland, be a signal Fire of the true way of the sect. The seals are shattered, and in the Fire of war they will be reborn.”
*
Arriving home, the sect was almost destroyed. The locals sympathetic to the sect, including the mayor were dead, and in their place traitors.
Lucille again took the place of highest cultivator, and they returned first to save their own. Seven cultivators had ascended to Shimmering and protected the sect long enough for the juniors to flee to loyalist compounds elsewhere.
Anna teleported to her, and they ousted the evil government of the City in a single day.
As Anna left, the sect seniors guarded the city and worked towards expanding the circle of Loyalist territory.
Lucille drew on Anna’s vast experience as the highest cultivator and pushed back against resistance.
The loyalist cell that held onto the sect juniors finally made contact. The Sect took over civilian government in the city until proper succession could be made. Civilians were placed safely as the sect rebuilt itself with the aid of the other loyalists to form a new fortified Sect-city.
The Imperial army finally returned, achieving much success while the enemy was busy in their lands. New cultivators swarmed into the city, and it became a center for waves of merchants and farmers.
The Sect city of New Hope contained the renamed Faithful Sword and Fan sect. The work of organizing construction, budgets, juniors and seniors was unending, but the Imperial army acted as roads of safety between a dozen major loyalist sects.
The Arrows and Vigilant Sabers had no intact sect to return too, they were given space to build suburbs as their sect home around New Hope.
Over the three years since returning home, the city had become bustling. The army established police corps, Fire and health organizations that the sect could not.
Fans were not known for acquiring spirits, nor fan cultivators known for being Divine. Annabelle was her first fan’s spirit, and nearing the end of the resistance, she was given a beautiful divine fan.
She began to host talks and socials but her personality was no longer so agreeable to anything, she was a firm defender of empire and emperors.
**
Anna gradually resumed combat practice months later. The army and Arielle took turns defending the city, while cultivators were directed to fan outward in sweeps with the army.
She rested with Daimon.
“Precedent says I should take you. You are already there, seeing a man in me, not a boy. I am ready, but for one thing. My family wants a political affair for knowing wife, but I can think of no one who stood by my side in brightness and darkness, but you. On our wedding day, I will take you, and you will be Empress, if you are willing.”
The outburst from the family quarter was there, but subdued because of the war. After all the justice and honors were given, there would be a three month veil of time apart. Watched over by her maidens, Anna would prepare herself for her wedding day.
***
Lucille lead juniors of the sect to identify remaining strongholds of Sectist resistance. Anything they encountered was with the junior’s power to deal with.
“Sect Head, this looks like another home that’s not reregistered with the Imperial bureau of Loyalist citizens.”
“Knock on the door.”
The faint scent of rose, and shifting currents of the petals were the only signs of the Golden power within her. Anna was right, this power was from the seat of Imperial divinity.
She prepared herself as the best house guest imaginable. The fan shifted, ready to aid and strike.
“Oh yes, hello.” Said the dweller.
“Our Lady of the Loyalist Sect Faithful Sword and Fan would like to share tea with you. Can you spare the tea?”
The woman lead them inside her home.
Working at it, she gathered cups and heated the kettle.
“Oh dear this last few months. The army is hugely important to get us our needs even. Are you working with the army?”
“We are working on the charter of authority given by the Emperor.”
“We’re an unregistered sect, we’ve always been unregistered under the old system. We’re weavers.”
“I’ll make a note for the army captain to get you registered. A mortal weaver’s guild would join the Order of Guilds instead.””
“We rely on cultivation too, dearie.”
Lucille let the blossoms scatter and in a moment she knew the true path of the weavers. Many of the young girls were innocent, others were established sect warriors who had slipped into the sect.
The overwhelming pressure to come clean brought two ‘weavers’ back upstairs.
**
Representatives from all the loyal sects, and from the other three empires gathered at the Palace in celebration of the war that began an expedition and ended in great losses on the home front. A victory but costly.
Nothing would ever be the same again.
Anna stood with the Emperor this time, as he stood by the throne. The army was recognized and its leaders honored. When it came time to recognize the loyal sects, He made a proclamation instead.
“From Henceforth, the Sects of this land are reorganized as guilds of Cultivators. The right to grant new guilds shall be mine alone.
The following guilds have already been reopened and active in the war efforts: The Faithful Sword and Fan, The Imperial Hammer and Axe. The Golden Saber. The spellworks (Staff), the Iron Sword, the Spool and Lamb. The Cook’s spoon. The Vigilant Saber. The Paitent Arrow.
New cultivators will have two choices in most weapons and styles. Expansion of these Guild sites has already begun. My consort, explain how the new system will work?”
“Cultivators in any guild will began at the rank of Initiate. Advancement is in a particular weapon or fighting style.
Initiate is the first rank. All initiates must be positively identified as not one of the Traitorous enemy.
Passing the first level practical and theoretical examination, initiates become acolytes.
Acolytes may ask to be evaluated for promotion which involves battlefield assignment and assessment in addition to practical and theoretical exam.
After Acolytes are Apprentices. Beginning the process of learning advanced arts, apprentices work with a master.
Testing consists of interviews with the master, battle assignment, character references, and interviews with the potential journeyman.
Journeyman and women must serve away from their guild for at least two years, in an aspect matching their guild abilities.
Presentation of journey accomplishments and interviews constitute the test for master. Both men and women are called masters. Serious efforts are required to meet the standard for master. We expect some who live a life apart from their guild as journeyers.
Masters begin the special path process. Each master may chose to be classified Master Aspirant, for those focusing primarily on even highly mastery, Master Administrator fir those working on the administrative duties of the guild, Master Public, for those presenting the guild to the people and Master Teacher, for those focused on educating juniors. All masters have a duty to take one apprentice, but educators take more.
Master Administrators became Grandmaster Administrators upon his highness’s personal review and consent.
Master Aspirants become Grandmasters, by the recommendation of a majority of the Divine Council.”
*
I was headed to the Faithful Sword and Fan for the traditional three months before our wedding day.
Women of the Imperial staff accompanied me as staff and advisors.
Daimon and I had our last breakfast together for a while. It was a nice quiet breakfast. His days now were very busy, the aftermath of war and repairs to the empire occupied all his time.
I would be satisfied with no more adventure, no more war. I traveled more slowly than was needed. Off the imperial roadways, signs of decay were still present. People had suffered for the dispute, the betrayal of the sects. How many small towns, once vibrant, faced a sect declared traitor.
Our own small sect town was now a quickly growing, yet young city.
The main city was centered around different sections of the guild. The new initiates facility was surround by businesses, but the acolytes and apprentices had supporting business nearby as well.
In the center of the city were three buildings. Headquarters of the Imperial army, who now was present in every major city, hq of the city governance itself, and the Guild Administrative offices.
There was a reception desk right by the entryway Amos a flood of people, none of whom I recognized.
“We’re flooded with applicants and questions from the community, so if you don’t have an appointment, I’m afraid we’ll have to ask you to leave,” the receptionist said, not even looking at me or my staff as I approached.
“I don’t have an appointment. I was looking for the executives. Ohnani.”
“No. You can see sub-administrator Johan next week if you fill out a form at the Enlistment center or Public Relations center.”
I turned back towards my staff. “I guess you’re right. We should have made contact ahead of time. This is a big time guild now.”
“Do you have an estate in New Hope?”
“Likely it was destroyed during the war. Half tempted to flare my power, but not really. It’s an interesting trouble, funny almost.”
I thought about it a bit. High cultivators could find lodging from the Army.
“Let’s go to the Army post.”
*
The army base in New Hope was small, since the reformed guild did so much work.
“As a Senior cultivator I was looking to see if you have any lodging for the night, as we pass through,” Anna said, trying to present herself as the traveling cultivator she once was.
“Yes of course,” said the gate guard. “Let me bring you to someone.”
The gate guard didn’t even delegate someone else for his post, but lead them into the base.
“Major, there are some cultivators here seeking lodging for the night.”
The Major was a distinguished older gentleman, quite advanced in rank although he seemed around Shimmering in cultivation.
“His Imperial Highness’ Consort. Forgive me, I did not expect to see your presence in this base. Come, I’ll give you my own quarters. How are you not lodged at the guild, if I may ask?”
“I’m not familiar with any of the new generation of administrators over there since my sister stepped down as lead administrator. I didn’t get past the front desk.”
“I guess they are caught in this massive expansion. With so many sword cultivators seeking to be confirmed a registered guild member in good standing. Then add in the Fan cultivators as well. This is now the only city supporting their specialization.
Anyway, let’s get you settled in.”
*
Although it was snug with her six assistants, the Major’s place was suitable.
They sat in the man’s living room.
“I think there were a few other minor sects like ours when Lucille and I started here. We had experience running a portion of the Rose Blossom sect. But then we were able to enforce our values. There was that early period of growth, and then only a few years after we became a Silver seal sect before the war.”
*
The new senior executive houses were in the inner ring of the security, protected by sect members working on guard assignment. There was a manifestation cultivator on duty every shift, along with their subordinates.
Lucille was now Executive Vice President for Senior Cultivation.
Tim lived next door as Executive Vice President for Sword Cultivation.
The executives for Fan, Hybrid Sword/Fan, Core Cultivation and Junior Cultivation were all in the 2nd to last ring. Most positions had been filled according to recommendations by the Army board of Loyalty. They were very experienced in running a large operation like this. Which Lucille wasn’t.
They now had passed 50 thousand Initiates on premises last week. 6 thousand acolytes, 2500 apprentices, journeyers were off campus but they had 800 out on their adventures. 220 masters and 45 grandmasters were on premise.
Because she and Tim had no family at home, often she would invite him over for breakfast.
One particular morning she was sitting with Tim, and startled herself. Her location sense. The intuitive understanding of where Anna was at, was much closer.
“Not close enough,”
“What’s that?”
“Anna’s here. They must have put her up for the night somewhere on the outskirts of the sect.”
“I asked them to tell me if any of my seniors in Sword cultivation arrived at the sect. Whatever time of day. I was up till 2 working through Earth forms.”
Sword cultivators had some impressive abilities at Opening. Her own power. Even in divinity was less flashy than Tim’s mighty strikes that imposed like mountains and filled the air with dust.
Even as a very junior Divine Fan cultivator, She only had Two others in the same tradition who were her senior.
The rose blossom sect was destroyed in the war, many sects on both sides either were destroyed or had to little left.
“Huh. Let’s head down to Administration. We can use this as a teaching moment, whatever occurred.”
She could fold others into her natural divine movement, s rare ability.
Tim said it was like being shot out of a rose blossom cannon.
Wrapping him up in her power manifold she surged like a blossom in a tornado, landing outside the admin building with Tim.
The unique qi signature of each cultivator functioned as id. They flared their qi and the doors opened before normal open hours.
The elevator was powered by advanced crafting and lots of natural cultivation stones.
Once more they flared qi to reach the 17th floor.
The army had sent an entire special construction division full of craftsmen and cultivators to build this building quickly. Not all the offices were used yet.
The Executive council room was where business was supposed to be done, but the executive lounge and restaurant was where it was done.
President Galina was talking with VP - Juniors as they ate breakfast. Michael was extremely busy with managed the most stressed part of the organization.
“Morning, Galina, Michael,” Lucille said. Tim waved.
“There was a VVIP who arrived yesterday. I have independent confirmation they are in the city, but neither Tim or I heard of where they are housed.”
“Hmm, I keep on top of that caliber of arrival, I have heard nothing. Are you sure, who?”
“Let’s keep this in the senior executives for now. My sister asked me if she could spend three months at the guild. A sort of sabbatical. I said of course the guild would love to have any Divine cultivators visit, let alone all of her other positive aspect.”
“Three months, interesting,” said the president.
“My sister and I have a rare bond that goes beyond just family, we are spiritually connected. She relied on some of my skills of years as a Fan cultivator and I relied on her vast battle experience and precision. I can tell where she is roughly, and Vice versus. She’s somewhere in new hope, I’m sure of it:”
“Maybe she just arrived this morning,” Michael said.
LO: Where are you?
AO: At the army base. The major in charge let us stay in his residence. I’ll tell you in person the details.
She shook her head, “my sister’s housed at the army base last night. She would remember those old cultivators rights. Somehow the guild turned her away when she arrived. Who else will go with me to the base?”
The President spoke up, “Bring our Army liaison junior executive. They deserve credit for their hospitality. We’ll review our protocols to see what went wrong once more information comes in.”
*
They took the transport talisman, Junior VP Bert wasn’t comfortable with her divine speed. Tim was one of the few.
The gate spotter recognized Bert first. “Our guild buddy Bert. What can I do for you?”
“We were supposed to meet with the VIP yesterday and were so appreciative that the major hosted them. We’d like to introduce, or em, say hello and invite them to accommodations at the guild.”
“Right, I’ll pass that on to the Major right away, you can head right to your office with your guest if you want.”
Bert agreed. “I spend a lot of time here collating all of the vectors of our cooperation with the army.”
The jr’s office was part of the Postmaster / Quartermaster / administration building.
Major Zevran arrived just after 10, Lucille had almost fallen asleep watching Bert go through paperwork.
Their little sect was now an administrative nightmare with all the staff for the craziness.
“The famous executive and fan cultivator. Your sister is almost ready for the day.”
*
After thanking the Major for everything, she met Lucille, and they returned to the top floor of the administrative building.
She wore a lacy green dress white ruffles. She had stored away her third and forth swords back at the palace and carried her original sword and the gift from Daimon. While the sheaths could strap to her back, when dressed nicely she gave them to her staff.
“Welcome Consort Ohnani. We’re really busy and consumed with all of the new applicants and reviews.”
The President said.
“Understandable. Can you direct me to someone regarding property in the city, it’s probably best if I purchase something in the city for any future visits rather than burdening the sect.”
“Housing is in very short supply in the city at the moment. Lucille, what are your thoughts. The sect will definitely accommodate you.”
“You could stay with me. I should have enough room for your staff.”
