Story Idea Generators from Seventh Sanctum

Trying to find some story ideas that don't fizzle out:

There's some writing idea generators at Seventh Sanctum, which has many different kinds of generators.

Envisioner:

First Roll -

  1. A fusion of the story of Buddha and the legend of Prestor John, set on a sailboat.
  2. A fusion of the legend of the Golem and the story of the little Dutch boy envisioned as a political supernatural tale.
  3. A fusion of the story of the Odyssey and the story of Romeo and Juliet envisioned as a occult slasher horror tale.
  4. The tale of Lady Godiva being about a group of professors.
  5. A fusion of the story of the little Dutch boy and the story 'The Prince and the Pauper'.
  6. The story of Alice in Wonderland set at a rock concert.
  7. The legend of Johnny Appleseed envisioned as a class comedy tale.
  8. The story of 'Journey to the East' being about a group of farmers.
  9. The legend of Orpheus envisioned as a supernatural horror tale.
  10. A fusion of the legend of the Flying Dutchman and the legend of Merlin envisioned as a rags-to-riches class comedy tale.
  11. The story of the little Dutch boy envisioned as a character study tale.
  12. The story of Pygmalion and Galataea envisioned as a escape-from-prison tale.
  13. A fusion of the legend of the Flying Dutchman and the story of Chicken Little.
  14. A fusion of the story of Aladdin and the story of 'Journey to the East'.
  15. A fusion of the legend of Sleepy Hollow and the story of Jesus that concerns a group of astronomers.

A lot of these are fusions between stories I don't know.

I recognize the Odyssey and Romeo and Juliet in #3. It's not very well fitting to make that a Occult, Slasher, Horror tale.

I know Buddha's story a bit, but Prestor John, Golem and the little dutch boy I have no idea about. A politcal supernatural story is a funny juxtaposition of genres.

I don't really know Lady Godiva except for Godiva chocolate.

I've heard of Prince and the Pauper, but I don't really know the story.

#5 sounds interesting. Alice in Wonderland at a Rock Concert. It seems like something that might already exist.

Using the Legend of Johnny Appleseed is cool. I'm not sure if a class comedy is the right genre though. What about Johny Appleseed as a Occult, Horror tale from the perspective of the local animals watching this stranger plant these "apple" trees".

#8 I get the idea of a journey to the east, and maybe I could see the connection with farmers, but its a bit weird.

I don't know about Orpheus.

I don't know about the Dutchman but Merlin as a rags-to-riches class comedy tale has potential.

The story of Chicken little could be interesting.

I know Aladdin, and I know Sleepy Hollow, and of course I know Jesus, but talking about Jesus and a group of astronomers is interesting.

I'll stick with two originals from the generator and a mixups.

#6 The story of Alice in Wonderland set at a rock concert.
#15 A fusion of the legend of Sleepy Hollow and the story of Jesus that concerns a group of astronomers.

#16 Johnny Appleseed as a Zombie Horror story.

I ran two more generators, and got a few interesting ones

The tale of the Prodigal Son being about a group of newspaper reporters.

A fusion of the legend of King Midas and the story of the Pilgrim's Progress envisioned as a character study tale.

Mixing and blending these together

 Characters:

Alice
Queen of Hearts
 Small town Newspaper business Father
Son who stayed in the business
Son who left for the big city

Johnny Appleseed

Local Observatory & astronauts working there.

Setting:

Small town in early 20th century (1900 - 1920 ish?).
Town is a throwback to older ways, located on the river.
There's something unexplainable, eerie about the town.

Plot threads:

A local folk band holds a concert in a barn.
Myths and rumors about a man skulking in the night (Johnny Appleseed).
Son who left the newspaper business behind for New York City returns after spending everything his father gave him.

Allegorical stories about all the worldly pursuits that drag people away from God.
